Since 1996, WGIF has served the investment and arbitrage compliance needs of Wyoming public entities. Its investment objective is to provide a means for all participants to achieve a high rate of return while preserving capital and maintaining liquidity. WGIF seeks to attain that objective through a professionally managed investment program with the policies and restrictions described below.
Series of the Fund
The WGIF Declaration of Trust provides for the creation of multiple specialized investment series within the program. The program currently consists of two options for participants:
Liquid Asset Series: A short-term money market portfolio that seeks to provide daily liquidity, earn a competitive income and preserve principal. The series is rated AAAm* by Standard & Poor's.
The WGIF Liquid Asset Series provides participants with:
- Same-day liquidity (12 p.m. MT cut-off)
- Opportunity to earn a competitive yield
- Interest calculated daily and paid monthly
- Zero out-of-pocket expenses
- Unlimited transactions via wire, ACH, or check
- Online account management with Connect
- Sub-accounting
- Sweep capability
Fixed Term Series: From time to time, various fixed-term series have been and will be established by the WGIF Board of Trustees to facilitate investments for fixed periods of time at a fixed rate of return.
A Fixed-Term Series provides participants with:
- Fixed-rate, fixed-term investments ranging from 60 days to one year
- Opportunity to secure competitive interest rates
- Laddering maturities to meet known cash flow needs
- Ability to plan around interest income streams
- Online account management with Connect
*Standard & Poor's fund ratings are based on analysis of credit quality, market price exposure, and management. According to Standard & Poor's rating criteria, the AAAm rating signifies excellent safety of investment principal and a superior capacity to maintain a $1.00 per share net asset value. However, it should be understood that the rating is not a "market" rating nor a recommendation to buy, hold or sell the securities. For a full description on rating methodology, visit Standard & Poor's website (www.standardandpoors.com/ratings/funds-main/en/us).
